Ahsaas Channa is currently basking in the success of her latest web series ‘Mismatched Season 3’ and received immense love for her role as Vinny. In an exclusive interview with News24, she talks about the pressure she felt while joining an already successful show. She further reacts to her dating rumours with her co-star Taaruk Raina and how it affects her personal life.
While speaking about the pressure of becoming the main cast in ‘Mismatched Season 3’, Ahsaas tells us, “There was a lot of pressure on you. Mostly because there was such a huge number of actors and it had a massive volume. Every character in the show is loved by everyone so much. Entering that kind of universe definitely puts pressure on you because you also want to be as loved and match the expectations, the scale, and the level of success that it already has.”
She further reveals that her character Vinny was only supposed to be a cameo. She adds, “We didn’t know that my role would grow up the way it did and it was also I think very pivotal for Taruk’s character. This is like the first time that he had been a little soft. But I think it worked very well. And then they decided to explore more of it in Season 3.”
Her on-screen chemistry with Taaruk Raina in ‘Mismatched Season 3’ has received immense love from the audience but it also sparked their dating rumours. Revealing if these rumours affected her, Ahsaas shares, “I think you can just have fun with it..We enjoyed the love and support that our characters are getting and I think it’s fantastic.”
She adds, “We love watching the (fan) edits together, also reading the comments and discussing all of it. And we are actually very happy that it’s getting like Anmol and Vinny are getting as much attention as Rishi and Dimple.”
