Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s engagement rumours have once again taken over social media. Though the two have never confirmed their relationship, Rashmika recently dropped a major hint that the reports might actually be true.
As reported by Telugu360, during a recent promotional event for her upcoming movie Thamma, the actress was asked about her engagement buzz. Smiling, Rashmika simply replied, “Everyone is aware about it,” leaving fans convinced that the rumours have substance.
Adding fuel to the speculation, during the trailer launch of The Girlfriend, producer Allu Aravind playfully teased Rashmika saying that Vijay Deverakonda would attend the film’s pre-release event. The actress blushed while the crowd broke into cheers.
Earlier, in a chat with Galatta Plus, Rashmika was congratulated by the host, initially for her new perfume line before he cheekily asked, “Or is there something else?” The actress laughed and said, “Actually, there’s quite a lot happening. So I’ll take your congratulations on them all.” The clip quickly went viral.

They have been private about their relationship but neither confirmed nor denied it. The actors first shared the screen in the 2018 film ‘Geetha Govindam’, which became a huge hit. The audience loved their on-screen chemistry. Rashmika and Vijay then starred together in the 2019 ‘Dear Comrade’.
In August 2025, Rashmika remembered the seven years of ‘Geetha Govindam’. She wrote, “I can’t believe I still have all these pictures from 7 years ago.. Geetha govindam will always ALWAYS be the most special film. I was just remembering everyone who was involved in this film making and it’s been faaaaar too long since we’ve all met.. but I hope they are doing super well.. I can’t believe it’s been 7 years already but happy 7 Geetha Govindam.”
On the work front, Vijay was last seen in the action thriller ‘Kingdom’. Meanwhile, Rashmika’s horror comedy Thamma with Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal was recently released, and she has an exciting lineup ahead with The Girlfriend and Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
