Ruplai Ganguly Controversy: Esha Verma has levied several allegations against her step-mother and actor Rupali Ganguly. Calling Rupali a “cruel-woman”, Esha claimed that the Anupamaa actor spoilt the happiness of her family and separated her from father Ashwin Verma. Amid the controversy, an unknown social media user has shared an old post by Esha, in which she has referred Rupali as her mother. The post was a screenshot of Esha’s Instagram profile that shows notification of Rupali following her and dropping a comment on a post. Esha shared the same and wrote, “Ayo Finally, Thanks Ma.”
This has raised eyebrows, with people questioning the truth about Esha’s accusation. Sharing the photo, one person wrote on X, “Daughter visited set and home, called her Maa publicly. After all this she did bad with her. Such naive daughter now, haters you fail to do homework properly.”
The post also includes a selfie of Esha from the sets of Rupali’s show. In the picture, one can see her along with Rupali as well as other cast members.
Esha also replied to the post and defended herself. She wrote, “She already got everything she wanted. I’m not tryna do anything but speak my truth. I’m a human being too and a lot of our lives got affected especially my mom and mine. She has crazy power in India and I can’t do much. Just spoke my truth.”

Ruplai Ganguly Controversy: Esha Spills More Shocking Details
In a new interview given to Bollywood Bubble, Esha has called her father “abusive” and accused Rupali of physically attacking her mother, who now lives in New Jersey with her. While talking about her troubled childhood because of Rupali’s action, she said, “I was devastated, crying in high school because of the women who deliberately came into our lives, who broke my parent’s marriage, who physically hit my mother in person in Mumbai in my grandparent’s house. To see her win, that’s the most devastating thing which I have gone through. I’m not pinpointing just Rupali here; I have also gathered the strength to say that it is my father’s fault. He was also a very abusive man physically and emotionally so it’s a two-party street.”
When the post went viral, Esha reveals that she was very scared. “He told me to take down the post,” she shared about father Ashwin, and added, “Whenever I tried to open up about it, he tried to shut me down. I wanted love, respect and connection with my father, but for more than 20 years now he has not been part of my life. I don’t think he would even come to my marriage. After my father had told me to take down the post, I just reflected and suffered on my own my entire life… Why should I listen to a man who never supported us and put women who he had an affair with and put his wife first. He never stood up for me and my mother. He never set up for me; he never publicly apologised to me; he never acknowledged me and my sister on the post. It was always him and their son.”
Rupali has not commented on the matter yet, however, she made a public appearance recently, with husband and son.
