In this upcoming season, while Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, enjoys her work in Rome, Italy, the love drama is set to get even more complicated. Reports suggest that not only Alfie will return as a key character, but another of Emily’s ex-boyfriends, Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, is also expected to be back in the mix.

Lucien Laviscount Returns

Actor Lucien Laviscount, known for his role as Alfie in ‘Emily in Paris,’ is set to return for a new season of the show after having less screen time in Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. This time, his character will have a more significant presence in Season 5. He appeared in only four episodes in the last season, including the finale.

In recent seasons, Emily has found herself in a tricky situation, juggling feelings for two very different guys: Alfie from Britain and Gabriel from France. After stirring up some trouble in her relationships and apologizing, Alfie will give her another shot. However, things get even more complicated as Alfie starts seeing someone new and pushes Gabriel to go after Emily while they’re in Rome. To make matters even more tangled, neither guy knows that Emily has already moved on and is now dating a new man named Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini.

Fans Reaction

With the return of Gabriel and Alfie, fans are not happy with Gabriel and comment things like, “Please no more Gabriel I’m done”

Another frustrated user commented, “Dear Emily in Paris writers, say goodbye to Gabriel already. We don’t want”

Emily In Paris fans wrote, “For the sake of women everywhere, Emily cannot go back to Gabriel again.” and “We don’t want Gabriel, we want Marcelo”

Season 5 Is Expected To Return To Films In France

Last year, while promoting his French film “Freedom,” Bravo shared his concerns about how his character Gabriel was portrayed in the show. He is expected to come back and is set to sign a new contract with the production team. The following season of the romantic comedy, created by Darren Star, is currently being planned out. Filming is anticipated to start in April 2025.
