‘Emily In Paris’ will return with its fifth season, but its production faced a major setback after its assistant director, Diego Borella, passed away on set. As per a report by People, Borella collapsed on the set in Italy while the crew was preparing for the final scene. He was 47. A local doctor confirmed that he had a sudden heart attack.
The medical staff present on the sets attempted to revive Borella, but he couldn’t survive. The makers are yet to issue a statement regarding this tragic incident. The incident took place inside Hotel Danieli in Venice.

The show also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello), and Thalia Besson (Genevieve). Paul Forman as Nico and Arnaud Binard as Laurent G will be seen in the pivotal roles.
While talking about the plot of the new season, creator Darren Star said, “This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris. Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”
“From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can’t wait to share where Emily’s next chapter takes us,” Star added.
Bryan Greenberg will join ‘Emily In Paris Season 5’ as Jake, who is an American living in Paris like Emily. Michèle Laroque will be seen as Yvette, and Minnie Driver as Princess Jane.
All four seasons are streaming on Netflix.
