Box Office Collection Day 2

It is to be noted that while Emergency received mostly positive reviews, Azaad was slammed by critics as well as audiences.

Emergency opened on a decent note and collected Rs 2.5 crore. The numbers only increased on day 2 and the movie minted approximately Rs 3.50 Crore, taking the overall collection to Rs 6 crore. All thanks to the word of mouth, the footfall is continuously increasing. The highest occupancy rate was witnessed in Bengaluru, followed by Chennai. They had 41 per cent and 37 per cent occupancy respectively. The film also performed decently well in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.

Azaad on the other hand minted Rs 1.5 crore on Day 1. However, the negatives reviews by fans on Twitter did not let the film grow on day 2. It managed to collect the same amount as it did on the previous day – Rs 1.5 crore. The overall collection now stands at Rs 3 crore approximately.

Chennai recorded the highest occupancy rate on day 2, which stands at 30 per cent. The film performed well in Bengaluru, Lucknow and Hyderabad too.

It focuses on the last few years of his tenure and the big decisions taken by her including that of Emergency and Operation Bluestar. It has been produced and directed by the star actor, who took the charge of managing everything single-handedly.

The film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Ashok Chhabra, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair and Satish Kaushik in key roles. While Anupam plays late politician Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas portrays the character of young Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Milind Soman is seen as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

About Azaad

Director Abhishek Kapoor has launched two star kids – Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgn in this emotional story about unbreakable bonds. However, this time it’s not the connection between humans but that between humans and animals. Azaad also stars Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo.

During an interview with ANI, Rasha described her character as “headstrong” and “fearless. “My character is not afraid of anyone. She knows who she is and where she comes from. She is very determined and confident,” she added.
