Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram House Shooting: Video Shows Shooter Nabbed In Encounter | Watch

The Faridabad Police arrested Inshat alias Ishu Gandhi after an encounter in connection with the firing outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence.

The Faridabad Crime Branch (Sector 30) has arrested the shooter behind the recent firing outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence. The accused has been identified as Ishant, also known as Ishu Gandhi, from Jawahar Colony, Faridabad. He was apprehended following an encounter in which he sustained a gunshot injury to the leg and was later admitted to the hospital.

Police said Gandhi fired over half a dozen rounds at the team with an automatic pistol before being caught. The Crime Branch is now investigating his motive and whether he has links to any gang or organised crime group.

The Incident

According to police, three assailants arrived on motorcycles and fired 25-30 rounds at Yadav’s residence before fleeing the spot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. While Elvish was not at home during the attack, his family members and caretaker were present inside the building.

Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, said, “Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The incident took place at around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing.” 

CCTV footage showed the shocking attack. In the video, two masked men fired at the 16-BHK mansion, hitting the gate, doors, windows, and even the upper floor balconies, while a third person waited on a motorcycle nearby.

Multiple vehicles including cars, trucks, and motorcycles passed by during the attack without stopping or intervening. One of the attackers is even seen climbing the gate to aim at the main entrance.

Gangster Group Claims Responsibility

Soon after the incident, the Bhau Gang claimed responsibility. The group stated that the firing was carried out by Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya, describing the attack as merely a ‘warning’ for the YouTuber.

Bhau Ritoliya warned, “Greetings to all. Today, a shooting took place at ELVISH YADAV’s house. It was carried out by NEERAJ FARIDPUR and BHAU RITOLIYA. Today we have made our presence known. He has destroyed a lot of homes by promoting illegal betting apps. It is a warning to all such insects on social media, like Elvish Yadav. Whoever promotes these apps, be aware, a call or a bullet could come at any time. Stay alert [sic],” the post on Instagram read.

Elvish Yadav Assures Fans: ‘We Are Safe’

After the shocking incident, Elvish shared a note on his Instagram stories, reassuring fans that both he and his family are “safe”. His note read, “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank you.”
