YouTube sensation and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav has faced a major legal blow as the Allahabad High Court dismissed his plea which was challenging the chargesheet filed against him in the snake venom case.
High Court Refuses To Quash Chargesheet
A bench of Justice Saurabh Srivastava have dismissed Elvish Yadav's plea which was observing that both the FIR and the chargesheet contain statements against him. The judge said that the truth of these allegations will be examined during the trial. The Court also pointed out that ELvish did not challenge the FIR itself in his petition.

- The person who filed the FIR was not legally authorised under the Wildlife Protection Act.
- Elvish was not present at the party where the alleged incident took place.
- No snake venom or drugs were recovered from Elvish.
Government's Stand On Allegations
Representing the other party, Advocate General Manish Goyal stated that the investigation has revealed that Elvish has supplied snakes to individuals from whom snake venom was recovered.
After hearing both sides, the High Court has dismissed Elvish's plea, saying it is up to the trial court to decide on the matter.

An FIR was registered at Sector-49 Police Station, Noida. The First Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar has already issued a summons order against Elvish.
FIR Filed With Wrong Intentions
Elvish's plea had argued that the person who filed the FIR was no longer an Animal Welfare Officer when the FIR was filed but claimed to be one. His lawyers also mentioned that his celebrity status has influenced the case attracting the extra media attention.
