Santosh Anand FB Page Hacked: Who doesn’t know Santosh Anand? He is one of India’s most renowned lyricists and songwriters. He is generally talked about for his epic Bollywood songs. However, this time, he is in the news as his Facebook page has been hacked and is being used to share obscene images and videos.
Santosh Anand’s Facebook page was not active since last month. His last post came on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami, i.e. on March 30.
Who is Santosh Anand?
Santosh Anand is an Indian lyricist from Uttar Pradesh’s Sikandrabad who started his career In 1970 with the film Purab Aur Paschim. In total, he wrote 109 songs in 26 films.
He is mostly known for his song “Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai” from the movie “Shor.” Anand’s favourite song went on to become the “song of the millennium.”
He received the Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist in 1975 and 1983. Later, in 2006, was awarded the Yash Bharti Award.
Santosh’s soundtracks for movies such as Shor, Roti Kapda Aur Makan, Kranti, Pyaasa Sawan and Prem Rog, all had music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Santosh’s partnership with music directors is limited to Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
His another well- known songs include “Main Na Bhoolunga”, “Yeh Galiyan Yeh Chaubara”, “Tera Saath Hai To”, “Megha Re Megha Re,” all sung by the singer Late Lata Mangeshkar.
Santosh Anand appears in Indian Idol S12
In 2021, lyricist Santosh Anand made a stage appearance on India Idol season 12. He was accompanied by music composer Pyarelal and his wife.
During the show, Santosh talked about his financial condition and how he was unable to pay his bills. After listening to his emotional speech, Indian Idol judge Neha Kakkar offered him Rs 5 lakh as a gift as she wanted to help him in any way possible.
Neha also urged the Indian entertainment industry to give him some work. She added that she would like to make a small gesture and give the sum of Rs 5 lakh. Neha also sang one of Santosh’s favourite songs ”Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai.”
Judge Vishal Dadlani, who said that he’d like some of Anand’s songs to be shared with him, would release them as well.
