In a new development amid the box office clash between “Dunki” and “Salaar,” it has been reported that Prabhas is set to meet Shahrukh Khan. The discussion revolves around the screen count for both films, with rumors suggesting concerns from Prabhas, as Shahrukh Khan’s “Dunki” is reportedly securing more screens in the North belt due to his previous two films being all-time blockbusters. Prabhas is keen on discussing this matter with Shahrukh Khan in their upcoming meeting.
According to Pinkvilla’s report, in North India, “Dunki” is set to occupy 46% of the total shows across multiplexes, while “Salaar” is allocated only 30%. “Aquaman 2” will have 14% of the shows, and the remaining 10% of screens will feature Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal.” These percentages are based on the calculation of multiplexes with three screens in North India.

According to Zoom’s report, Prabhas is dissatisfied with the screen allocation between “Dunki” and “Salaar” in Hindi-speaking regions. He wishes for an equal 50-50 distribution of screens for both films in North India, meaning “Salaar” should get the same number of screens as “Dunki.” This concern might be a topic of discussion in his upcoming meeting with Shahrukh Khan. Prabhas is not actively participating in the promotion of “Salaar,” but he is ensuring every aspect is taken care of over the weekend to boost the film’s box office performance.
The makers of “Salaar” believe it is a mass film, while they consider “Dunki” a class film. There is a difference in the audience for both films, but the producers of “Dunki” are promoting their picture as a Shahrukh Khan mainstream film, aiming for box office success similar to “Pathan” and “Jawaan.” Interestingly, the budget of “Dunki” is only one-fourth of the combined budget of both films.
Prashant Neel directed “Salaar,” featuring Prabhas along with actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapati Babu, and Teenu Anand. The film is set to be released in theaters on December 22.
On the other hand, Rajkumar Hirani directed “Dunki,” starring Shahrukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 21.
