Fans are treating the film's release as a festive occasion, and the first screening took place at Mumbai's Gaiety Galaxy Theatre at 5:55 a.m. Interestingly, the chosen timing holds special significance not just for the fans but also for the superstar Shah Rukh Khan. As reported by NDTV, a fan highlighted the significance of the 5:55 a.m. movie premiere. The fan mentioned that this tradition began with the release of 'Pathaan', as Gaiety Galaxy Theatre used to have only 12 p.m. shows before that. After initiating the tradition with Pathaan, they aimed to challenge themselves a bit more. Eventually, for 'Pathaan,' they secured a 9 a.m. show, and for Shah Rukh Khan's second release of 2023, 'Jawan' they arranged a 6 a.m. show. The fan elaborated on their desire to take the tradition further without pushing it too far. They expressed the intention to do something unique and go the extra mile. Consequently, they opted for a 5:55 a.m. show instead of a 6 a.m. show. The dedicated fan also provided insights into the significance of the 5:55 a.m. timing in connection with Shah Rukh Khan. She explained, "Our decision to have a 5:55 a.m. show wasn't just about doing something unique; it's also because 5:55 is Shah Rukh Khan's lucky number. Even his car's number is 555. So, we thought, why not incorporate that into our show? That's how we came up with the 5:55 a.m. show." In conclusion, the fan expressed appreciation to Gaiety Galaxy for being "gracious enough" to allow them to have a 5:55 a.m. show. She mentioned, "They (Gaiety Galaxy) know that if it is an SRK movie or SRK Universe organizing a show, it is bound to go houseful. They did not have any second thoughts. They have seen during Pathaan and Jawan, so they know Dunki is going to do the same or even more."

The film 'Dunki' represents the first partnership between Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani.
