Drishyam 3 Update: Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph have created amazing crime thriller franchise with ‘Drishyam 1 and 2’ and fans are eagerly waiting for its third instalment. As Mohanlal is currently gearing up for the release of his film ‘L2: Empuraan’, the superstar also gave an exciting update about Drishyam 3 to ease the audience’s curiousity.
While talking Drishyam 3, Mohanlal hestitted to revealed details about the film and said, “If I say something about that… My God, that is the most secret thing….”
Further explaining the challenges of making Drishyam 3, the actor added that the makers don’t want to disappoint the audience. He shared, “It’s in the pipeline. We are preparing. It is not that easy. Drishyam 2 happened, and now it’s a big challenge to make Drishyam 3. We are in the process of that…We don’t want to disappoint you, so we should be very careful. I cannot make any comments on that because it’s in the pipeline.”
About Drishyam 1 And 2:
Drishyam focuses on Georgekutty and his family, whose lives turn upside down after they under suspicion when the son of the IG Geetha Prabhakar goes missing. The movie also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sharath, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Roshan Basheer and Neeraj Madhav. Meanwhile, Drishyam 2 is set six years after the events of the first part.
Drishyam 2 directly released on Prime Video in 2021. Both the parts have been remade in Hindi with Ajay Devgn in Mohanlal’s shoes. The Hindi remakes also starred Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor.
On the work front, Mohanlal will soon be seen in ‘L2: Empuraan’. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, Eriq Ebouaney, and Suraj Venjaramoodu are seen in key roles. It is the sequel to the hit 2019 Malayalam movie ‘Lucifer’.
