When I read the script, I was stunned. It was unbelievable.”

He added, “What made people connect with the film was the character of an ordinary man standing up for his family. When they planned Drishyam 2 six years later, the pandemic hit. But that actually worked in favor of the Malayalam film industry, as people around the world watched it. When I was shooting in Gujarat recently, many people recognized me, thanks to Drishyam. After Drishyam 2, audiences began watching more Malayalam films. It’s a movie that gave Malayalam cinema a pan-Indian reach. We are currently working on bringing Drishyam 3 to life.” Mohanlal concluded by expressing enthusiasm about the ongoing efforts to bring Drishyam 3 to the audience.
