New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is back once again with his new comedy film, Doctor G, in which, he will be essaying the role of a gynaecologist. The film made its theatrical release on October 14, 2022, and it opened at around Rs 3.25 crore. The film clashed with Parineeti Chopra-starrer Code Name Tiranga.
Box Office Collection
The day 1 response of the film is similar to its 2021 release ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ but it has collected a better opening collection than its last release ‘Anek’ which opened at ₹1.77 crores.

As per the report on Boxofficeindia.com, the film managed to collect in the range of Rs 3-3.25 crore (as per early estimates). There are speculations that the film’s Saturday box office collection will show its overall performance at the box office in the upcoming days.
Shefali Shah’s post
Ahead of the film’s release, actor Shefali Shah shared a BTS video on Instagram and wrote, “It’s always exciting. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to be a neurosurgeon but Life had other plans and I wasn’t ready to study physics.” She added, “It’s a very very nice script, very sensitive, sweet and interesting subject and it’s very funny.”

About Doctor G
The film is the campus comedy, a coming-of-age comedy-drama. The film is set in a medical college. In this film, Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen as a gynaecologist and it also stars Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh as his fellow doctors.
Sheeba Chaddha also stars in the film. Doctor G is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and written by her in collaboration with Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat and Vishal Wagh.
