In a interview with PTI, AR Murugadoss recently admitted that working with superstars is not always easy. “You can’t make a regular film with a superstar. It’s about giving the fans what they want — those larger-than-life moments — which means you can’t always be 100 per cent true to the original vision”, he said.
However, he also praised these stars for their dedication. “They’re passionate about maintaining and growing their stardom. As directors, we learn from their commitment,” he added.
Salman Khan’s Two-Version Scenes
The director also shared interesting behind-the-scenes details about working with Salman Khan. He recalled how he adjusted to Salman’s unique shooting schedule from 2 PM to 2 AM and first met him at his residence, Galaxy Apartments for the narration.
Talking about their working style on set, AR Murugadoss revealed, “We’d often disagree on scenes, so we’d shoot both versions and settle it in the edit.”
He revealed, this approach allowed them to balance both the director’s vision and the actor’s instincts.
