Dipika Kakar has been diagnosed with liver tumour and is currently admitted to the hospital from past three days. Her husband Shoaib Akhtar, who is also a popular actor, revealed this news in his YouTube vlog and shared Dipika has a tumour in the left lobe of her liver. He gave a sigh of relief to Dipika’s fans by sharing that CT scan indicated that the tumour is not cancerous.
In his vlog, Shoaib revealed, “Dipika theek nahi hai thoda sa usko stomach mein issue hai joh serious hai. When I was in Chandigarh, Dipika started having pain in her stomach and initially we thought it was due to acidity and she treated it thinking it is an acidity related issue. But when the pain did not go she consulted our family doctor who also treated our father.”
He added, “He gave some antibiotics and asked her to get blood tests done. Then she was on antibiotics till May 5th and when I returned she was doing fine. Then after papa’s birthday she once again started experiencing pain and meanwhile the blood tests reports came which indicated that she had infection in her body..”
“Our doctor asked us to visit again and when we met him he asked us to do a CT scan and it showed that Dipika has a tumor in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us,” he added.
The couple was earlier in the news for their vacation in Kashmir just before the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. They were trolled for talking about their vlog amid a tragedy. However, Shoaib later condemned the terror attack and shared how deeply it affected him.
“The painful incident that took place in Kashmir has deeply affected me. We had recently visited that place, seen its beauty, and met its wonderful people. When any act of terrorism happens in the world, humanity suffers, and as Muslims, we bow our heads in shame even more. I feel doubly ashamed because the terrorists who committed this heinous act claimed to be Muslims. In my eyes, they are neither Muslims nor humans. Killing innocent people for personal gain is beyond cruel. No religion or humanity justifies such actions.”
Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim have a son named Ruhaan. They married in 2018 after dating for a few years.
