Diljit Dosanjh has been travelling across the country for his concerts and has been receiving a lot of love. He recently performed in Chandigarh but got involved in a controversy after he wrote ‘Panjab’ instead of ‘Punjab’. The ‘Don’ singer has break his silence on this controversy and expressed his anger as well. He further asked people to focus on something new instead of creating ‘conspiracies’.
While addressing the controversy, Diljit wrote on X, “If I forgot to include the India flag emoji with Panjab in one tweet, it’s a conspiracy? I even forgot it in a Bengaluru post. Whether you write Punjab or Panjab, it’s still Panjab.” While further explaining the meaning of ‘Panjab’, he added, “Land of five rivers”.
He added, “Hats off to people using a foreign language (English) to push baseless theories. From now on, I’ll write Panjab in Gurumukhi. No matter what, you won’t stop, so keep going. How many times must we prove our love for India? Try something new instead of spinning conspiracies.”

He recently expressed his frustration about the poor infrastructure for live shows in India and said he won’t perform until the stage is not at the centre. During his show, Diljit told the crowd, “Here we don’t have infrastructure for live shows. This is a source of big revenue, many people get work and are able to work here…I’ll try next time that the stage is at the centre so that you can be around it. Till this happens, I won’t do shows in India, that’s for sure.”
On the work front, Diljit recently collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan for the song ‘Don’. He earlier teamed up with Pitbull for the title track of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
