A particularly touching episode underscores the depth of his dedication. When one of his cherished canine companions passed away, Shah Rukh took a poignant gesture. He had the dog’s grave carefully unearthed, ensuring that he could always keep his beloved companion close to him.

During an interview, Gauri Khan’s uncle recounted a touching tale from the past when he presented a Pekingese breed dog to her, a canine that Shah Rukh Khan grew particularly fond of. Regrettably, while the actor was away filming, an unfortunate incident resulted in the demise of the four-legged companion. In an effort to manage the situation, the household helpers carefully wrapped the dog in a cloth and transported him to the seashore. There, they dug a grave and laid him to rest.
Upon returning home around midnight, the ‘Jawan’ actor inquired about the whereabouts of the dog. Upon learning of the unfortunate incident, he was devastated. The helpers explained that they had laid the dog to rest in a grave near the sea. Without hesitation, at 2:30 am, SRK woke up the helpers and insisted on being shown the exact location. He then personally excavated the grave, brought the dog back home, and created a memorial in the backyard.
Amidst tears, he expressed his dismay at the handling of the situation, stating that his dog belonged with them, whether alive or departed. Gauri Khan’s uncle highlighted the depth of King Khan’s love, noting that despite his incredibly busy schedule, he took such a heartfelt and personal initiative.
