‘Pushpa 2’ is currently one of the most awaited movies of the year and will hit the theatres next month. Rashmika Mandanna, who is the leading lady in the film, penned an emotional and heartfelt note on Instagram after she wrapped up shooting for the second part. In her note, she also hinted at ‘Pushpa 3’, which has now sparked some speculations and excitement.
Rashmika wrote on Instagram, “Dear diary, 25th Nov. This day for me was so overwhelmingly.. I just still don’t know how to react on it… ok I’ll explain. 24th evening after an entire day of shoot we took a flight to Chennai and we had such a lovely event in Chennai Flew back the same night back to Hyderabad. Went home slept for about 4 or 5 hours.. woke up rushed to shoot for my last day of Pushpa :(( We shot a crazy amazing song (you’ll all get to know about this very very soon)”
She added, “My whole day till late went in shoot.. and I knew it was my last day but somehow it didn’t feel like the last day you know.. like hmm I don’t know how to say. Out of the 7/8 years Last 5 years being on this set almost made this set my home in the industry and finally it was my last day.. of course there’s still so much work left and apparently a part 3 but it felt different.. it felt overwhelming.. it felt like it was ending.. some sort of sadness that even I didn’t understand and suddenly all the emotions came together and the days of extreme hard work came rushing back to me and.. I was feeling tired, exhausted but at the same time so grateful.”
Rashmika added that there is so much work left to do for ‘Pushpa 2’ and hinted at the possibility of ‘Pushpa Part 3’.
She concluded, “I was going to miss everyone so much.. and all of the feelings together.. and I broke down so bad after so long.. but I didn’t even understand why I was reacting that way.. but it’s crazy of how when you work so closely with such incredible people how much you get attached to them subconsciously.. Allu Arjun sir and Sukku sir and the team are the only ones I think who know me the most as a person more than anyone else in the industry.. they have literally seen me most days since the last 5 years and Pushpa set had become my home ground and now to let go is something so hard. So dear diary 25th Nov 2024 had been a very hard day but I hope Reply to rashmik going to be worth it one day.”
The movie earlier got into a controversy after ace composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) got into a war of words against film’s producers Naveen Yerneni, Mohan Cherukuri and Ravi Shankar. He shared how the producers, specifically Ravi, was upset with him because of the delay in composing the film’s background score.

He said, “Ravi sir, you’ve been blaming me saying that I didn’t deliver the song or the background score on time. I know you love me. Where there is love, there are complaints as well. But, I think you have more complaints about me than love.”
“Even now, I came to the venue 20-25 minutes ago. They asked me to wait to make an entry for the camera. I am shy. I am shameless only when I’m on stage. Off-stage, I’m the shyest person you’ll meet. I could hear the song Kissik being played, so I came running. As soon as I arrived, you said, ‘Wrong timing, sir. You’re late’. What can I do?” he further added.
‘Pushpa 2’ will release in theatres on December 5, 2024.
