Deepika Padukone and Farah Khan have seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling speculation about a potential rift. The pair have shared a close bond over the years but fans are now wondering if there’s trouble between them, especially after Farah commented on Deepika’s reportedly 8 hour workday demands.
Although neither Deepika nor Farah has publicly addressed the situation, their social media activity hints at some distance. Farah has also unfollowed Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh, though he still follows her. Fans are curious because Deepika and Farah have worked together in films like Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.
Farah has made references to Deepika’s schedule in her YouTube vlogs. When Farah asked, “You didn’t have an 8-hour shift, I am guessing?”, Radhikka replied, “56 hours non-stop or 48 hours non-stop.” At this point, Farah hinted that even she does not support an 8-hour work shift and shared, “Aise tapke hi toh sona banta hai (this is how gold is made).”

Later, during a visit to actor Rohit Saraf’s home, Farah teased about Deepika’s availability, remarking, “Haan itna time toh Deepika Padukone ne nahi lagaya mujhe haan bolne mein.”
Deepika recently left two big films. She was removed from Kalki 2 and earlier from Spirit. Reports say her requests for 8 hour workdays, higher pay, and a share in profits may have caused these exits. She has yet to reveal the reason behind this decision, and her silence has led to several speculations. Amid the controversy, the actress has started shooting for her next film, ‘King’, with Shah Rukh Khan.
She also shared her first post on Instagram amid the ongoing controversy. In the post, Deepika is seen holding Shah Rukh Khan’s hand. She also penned a sweet note for him. She wrote, “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago, while filming Om Shanti Om, was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together?”
