Ranveer Singh has made a thunderous comeback to the big screen with Dhurandhar, which is off to a remarkable global start. Almost two years after Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, he returns with a spy action film directed by Aditya Dhar and the early numbers already look very promising.
The film opened globally with a strong Rs 40 crore on Day 1, powered by impressive overseas turnout and Ranveer’s biggest ever opening day in India. In India, the film made Rs 27 crore on Friday and around Re 31 crore on Saturday, taking the two day domestic total to Rs 58 crore.
How much did Dhurandhar earn worldwide on day 2?
Trade reports say the film’s gross India total has reached about Rs 69.75 crore by Saturday. Overseas, it made Rs 7.6 crore, bringing the global total to around Rs 77.35 crore. If this pace continues, Dhurandhar is likely to cross Rs 100 crore worldwide by the end of the weekend. With a strong Saturday jump, the film is now expected to record a Rs 90 crore net weekend in India. At this rate, Dhurandhar is on track to enter the list of Ranveer Singh’s highest earning films.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a tense spy thriller set in early 2000s Pakistan. Ranveer Singh plays an undercover Indian operative tasked with taking down the notorious Lyari gangs. Inspired by real events, the film features a strong ensemble including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar is confirmed to return with a sequel. It will hit the theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid 2026. The movie will also clash with Kannada star Yash’s next film, ‘Toxic’. It will be one of the biggest box office clashes of 2026.
Earlier, the movie made it to headlines regarding its plot as it was rumoured that the movie is based on Major Mohit Sharma. However, director Aditya Dhar has dismissed these rumours and issued an official clarification.
