Avatar 3 has clashed with Dhurandhar in India, and the latter has been dominating the box office despite entering its third week. The Avatar franchise has a huge popularity in India, but its third instalment opened with an underwhelming response. Dhurandhar has beaten Avatar 3, and this is how.

According to the website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected Rs 38.50 crore on Day 17 (third Sunday). The movie has earned Rs 555.75 crore in total within 17 days.

It has given tough competition to Avatar 3, whose prequels received a good response in India. Avatar 3 collected Rs 25 crore on day 3, which is impressive for a Hollywood movie, but earned less than Dhurandhar, which is already in its third week.

Avatar 3 released in around 3800 screens in India including IMAX. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar's screens have been reduced by 40 per cent and still it surpassed the collection of James Cameron's film.

The movie stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role with Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. It will return with its sequel, following Ranveer aka Hamza’s journey in Lyari, Pakistan. Dhurandhar 2 will release in theatres on March 19, 2026, and will clash with Yash’s Toxic.
Dhurandhar has achieved a new milestone in Pakistan by becoming the most pirated movie in the country. It has surpassed 2.0 and Raees and has over two million illegal downloads in Pakistan. Despite being banned, Pakistanis have seen the film and have given mixed reactions as well.
