Advance booking for Ranveer Singh’s action packed spy thriller Dhurandhar has officially begun, and the film is already showing strong momentum. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie is building major buzz with its high octane storyline and powerful star cast as it gears up for its December 5, 2025 theatrical release.
With only three days left for release, advance bookings for Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar have started across India. The first few hours saw a big rush, with fans quickly booking tickets, but the excitement slowed down later in the day.

In the first few hours, Dhurandhar collected over Rs 1 crore in advance bookings for day one. By Monday evening, it had crossed that mark, but after the initial excitement, ticket sales slowed down. By Tuesday afternoon, the film added only around Rs 35 lakh, bringing the total to about Rs 1.4 crore for day one and a little over Rs 2 crore for the opening weekend.
The bigger challenge is matching this year’s major blockbusters. War 2 earned over Rs 20 crore in advance bookings, and Chhaava made Rs 13.80 crore. Dhurandhar would love to cross Rs 10 crore in advance sales, but right now, that seems difficult based on the current pace.

The film features a strong lineup of actors. Ranveer Singh plays the lead, with well-known names like Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Naveen Kaushik, and Manav Gohil also playing important roles.
Some people initially thought the film was inspired by the life of Ashoka Chakra awardee Major Mohit Sharma, but director Aditya Dhar has clearly stated that this is not true.
There is also talk that Dhurandhar may be released in two parts, with the second one possibly coming out in mid 2026. Another rumour says the film could be around 3.5 hours long, which would make it one of the longest Bollywood movies in recent years.
