Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, is doing extremely well at the box office. The film released in theatres on December 5 and has already earned more than Rs 700 crore worldwide in just two weeks. With this strong performance, it has crossed the lifetime collections of big films like Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Salman Khan’s Sultan.
With Dhurandhar 2 set to release in March and already finished shooting, the sequel will continue the story from where the first film left off. Many important plot points were introduced earlier but not fully explained, and the second part is expected to answer those questions.
Who is ‘Bade Sahab’?
The biggest mystery in Dhurandhar is a character called ‘Bade Sahab’. He is mentioned several times but never shown on screen. Sanjay Dutt’s character, SP Chaudhary Aslam, refers to him as the powerful person controlling things from behind the scenes, especially after Aslam is suspended from duty.
The film confirms that ‘Bade Sahab’ operates from Pakistan and has a lot of influence, but his real identity is kept secret, making him the main talking point ahead of the sequel.
Fan Theory 1: Is ‘Bade Sahab’ Dawood Ibrahim?
One popular theory is that ‘Bade Sahab’ could be Dawood Ibrahim. Fans started thinking this after noticing that Dawood Ibrahim is listed as a character in the film, played by actor Danish Iqbal.
Fan Theory 2: Could it be Masood Azhar?
Another theory connects ‘Bade Sahab’ to Masood Azhar. The film opens with the IC814 Kandahar hijacking, where R Madhavan’s character negotiates the release of Indian hostages. In real life, this incident led to Masood Azhar being freed.
Fan Theory 3: Is Osama bin Laden behind it all?
A third theory suggests that Osama bin Laden could be the person controlling everything. Since the film is set in a time when Osama was still alive, some fans think this is possible.
