Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has handled the box office competition from Avatar: Fire and Ash very well and actually grew stronger in its third weekend. The spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, is doing extremely well in India and continues to earn steadily overseas, putting it on track to become the biggest Indian film of 2025.
Even after 17 days in theatres, Aditya Dhar’s spy-action film is still attracting audiences, with strong collections coming in on its third Sunday. What makes this performance special is that despite a slow start, Dhurandhar has gone on to beat several big films on later Sundays.

So far, the film collected Rs 207.25 crore in its first week and increased its total to Rs 253.25 crore in the second week. On Day 15 and Day 16, it earned Rs 22.5 crore and Rs 34.25 crore. As per early estimates till 5:05 PM today, it has added another Rs 24.51 crore, taking its total India collection to Rs 541.76 crore.

Dhurandhar Beats Chhava and Pushpa 2 on Sundays
After its Rs 43 crore first Sunday, Dhurandhar saw a big jump the following weekend. On its second Sunday, it collected Rs 58 crore, beating Pushpa 2, which had earlier held the record with Rs 54 crore.
The strong run continued on the third Sunday as well. Dhurandhar has already crossed Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava, which earned Rs 24.25 crore on its third Sunday. It is now expected to overtake Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 too, which had collected Rs 26.75 crore on its third Sunday. Early trends suggest Dhurandhar will cross this figure easily.
Worldwide Box Office
At the global box office, Dhurandhar has also performed very well. According to Sacnilk, the film has earned around Rs 790.75 crore worldwide in just 16 days, even while facing strong competition from the Hollywood film Avatar: Fire and Ash.

The story centres on Hamza Ali Mazari, who is later revealed to be Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover agent sent to Lyari in Pakistan to break into a Baloch gang led by Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna. After the film’s big success, the makers have already announced a sequel, which is set to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
