Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, was one of the most anticipated movies of 2025 and has finally been released in theatres. It has been receiving an amazing response from the audience, which is reflected in its impressive box office collection.
The teaser created good hype, and the trailer made fans even more eager. Advance bookings opened well, slowed down in between, and then picked up again just before release. The first day followed the same trend.
The spy thriller not only beat all of Ranveer Singh’s previous opening day records but also outperformed several major 2025 releases at the box office.
Ranveer Scores career best opening, beats Saiyaara and Sikandar
According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected an impressive Rs 27 crore net on day one far exceeding trade expectations of Rs 15-18 crore. This makes it Ranveer Singh’s biggest opening to date, surpassing 83 (Rs 12.64 crore), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (Rs 11.10 crore), and Simmba (Rs 20.72 crore).
Dhurandhar has also left behind two major 2025 releases. Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, had opened at around Rs 21.50 crore, while Salman Khan’s Sikandar had started with Rs26 crore. Dhurandhar has surpassed both, securing a stronger day one total.
