Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which released on December 5, opened to an exceptional response. The film not only delivered Ranveer’s biggest opening day ever but also surpassed the opening records of Saiyaara and Sikandar. After a thunderous Day 1, the movie performed even better on Day 2.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues its strong run at the ticket counters, showing solid growth over the weekend. The film opened well on Friday and picked up further momentum on Saturday. Dhurandhar collected Rs 27 crore on Day 1 (Friday), and an estimated Rs 31 crore on Day 2 (Saturday), taking its total to a massive Rs 58 crore in just two days.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a tense spy thriller set in early 2000s Pakistan. Ranveer Singh plays an undercover Indian operative tasked with taking down the notorious Lyari gangs. Inspired by real events, the film features a strong ensemble including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar is confirmed to return with a sequel. It will hit the theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid 2026. The movie will also clash with Kannada star Yash’s next film, ‘Toxic’. It will be one of the biggest box office clashes of 2026.
Earlier, the movie made it to headlines regarding its plot as it was rumoured that the movie is based on Major Mohit Sharma. However, director Aditya Dhar has dismissed these rumours and issued an official clarification.
