Dhurandhar has become a blockbuster and has been receiving immense love and praise. The movie is near Rs 400 crore mark at the box office and has dominated theatres even after entering second week. Other releases also failed to perform amid the buzz created by Dhurandhar.
Dhurandhar box office collection day 11:
According to the website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected Rs 29 crore on day 11 as per early estimates. The movie has earned Rs 379.75 crore in total in India and is eyeing Rs 400 crore mark.
It is possible that Dhurandhar might surpass the collection of Chhaava. Vicky Kaushal’s film only earned Rs 18 crore by day 11, whereas, Dhurandhar collected Rs 29 crore.
Akshaye Khanna has been receiving immense for his performance as Rehman Dakait. Naveen Kaushik, who plays Donga in Dhurandhar, revealed that Akshaye Khanna was slapped multiple times by Saumya Tandon to get the scene right. For the unversed, Saumya slaps Akshaye Khanna’s character in anger after their eldest son dies in the film.
While speaking to Filmygyan about the scene, Naveen revealed, “This scene was retaken seven times.”
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar achieved another big milestone in Bollywood’s entire history and surpassed other blockbusters like Animal and Jawan. It has created history to have the highest earnings on the second Saturday in Hindi cinema. The movie earned Rs 53.70 crore on the second Saturday and has surpassed Chhaava, Stree 2, Animal, Jawan, Gadar 2, Saiyaara and The Kashmir Files. The movie has even defeated the Hindi collection of Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2.
As per reports, Dhurandhar has been banned in six Gulf countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The movie stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role with Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
