Ranveer Singh’s much awaited spy action film, Dhurandhar, released in theatres on December 5, 2025, and got a huge response from fans.
However, just a few hours after its release, the movie was leaked on several piracy websites in different qualities, from 240p to 1080p. This has caused worry among fans and industry experts about how it might affect the box office.
Is watching pirated movies harmful?
Experts warn that watching pirated films can be harmful. It hurts the filmmakers, actors, and technicians who worked hard for months or years on the movie. Piracy also reduces box office earnings. On top of that, pirated files may contain viruses or malware that can damage your device or steal personal information. Watching movies legally helps support the film industry and keeps you safe.
Strong box office performance
Despite the leak, Dhurandhar, released on 5,000 screens across India and earned a massive Rs 28 crore on its opening day and an estimated Rs 31 crore on Day 2 (Saturday), taking its total to a massive Rs 58 crore in just two days.
