Legendary actor Dharmendra, one of India’s most loved film stars, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. To honour his life and contribution to cinema, the Deol family organised a prayer meet on November 27 at the Seaside Lawns of Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Family members and several well known Bollywood stars arrived to pay their respects.
The Deol family came together for the sad occasion. Bobby Deol, Karan Deol, and Abhay Deol were seen at the venue.
One of the most touching moments came when singer Sonu Nigam performed some of Dharmendra’s most famous songs, including Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge and more. A video from the event showed Sunny and Bobby breaking down in tears during the performance, with Sonu Nigam hugging and comforting them. Later, the brothers thanked him for the beautiful tribute.

About Dharmendra’s Passing
Dharmendra passed away on November 24, leaving fans across India and around the world heartbroken. Known lovingly as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’, he had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai earlier this month because he was having trouble breathing. Though he was discharged on November 12 and seemed to be getting better, his health suddenly worsened after that.
He is survived by his wife Hema Malini, first wife Prakash Kaur, and his six children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, Ajeeta, and Vijeta.
Professionally, the veteran actor made one of his last appearances in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, featuring Shahid Kapoor. His upcoming and final film, Ikkis, based on the life of war hero Arun Khetarpal, will feature Dharmendra portraying the late soldier’s father, while Agastya Nanda plays the lead role.
