Legendary actor Dharmendra, one of India’s most loved film stars, passed away on November 24, 2025, at 89. Fondly remembered as Bollywood’s He-Man, he remains one of Hindi cinema’s most iconic and celebrated stars. He had been unwell for several days and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Soon after his death, social media began discussing his huge wealth and whether his daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol, would receive an equal share of his property.
Will Esha and Ahana inherit a share of Dharmendra’s wealth?
Dharmendra’s property, worth around Rs 400-450 crore, includes expensive houses, businesses, luxury cars, a big farmhouse, and the family’s old production company. Just a few hours after his funeral, rumours started online saying there might be problems between his sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, and his daughters with Hema Malini.
However, a close family friend told Deccan Chronicle that these rumours are completely false and hurtful. The family is mourning together, and there is no fight happening.
Sunny Deol, who always respected his father’s wishes, is said to be making sure that Esha and Ahana get the share their father wanted them to have. The source added that the family is united, no matter what people say online.
Is there any inheritance tension within the Deol family?
The source strongly refuted any claims of conflict, stating: “These stories about inheritance disputes are rubbish, and very ill-timed. No one is a pauper here. There will be no drama, no dispute. In fact, Hema Malini and her daughters are not inclined to make any demands on Dharamji’s property. But Sunny will not keep them out of the family inheritance. One thing is for sure: Esha and Ahana will be part of the Deol family, as their father would have wished.”
