Veteran actor Dharmendra has reportedly been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The actor was taken there for a routine check-up, but his visit to the hospital left fans worried. However, his team has assured that the actor is doing well.
According to a report by India Today, Dharmendra is in the hospital for some tests. A source close to the family was quoted as saying, “Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about.”
“He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests,” the source added.
Meanwhile, he is gearing up to return to the big screen with the film ‘Ikkis’. He will share the screen space with his co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Ikkis is scheduled to release in December 2025, but the makers have yet to officially announce its final release date. The film is the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at just 21 — honoured posthumously for his unmatched courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
While speaking to PTI, director Sriram Raghavan talked about the plot of ‘Ikkis’. He shared, “It is a bigger production; there will be tank battles and all those things that happen in a war film. But it is also a human story; it’s a drama, a coming-of-age kind of a thing.”
The movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia.
