Veteran actor Dharmendra has been hospitalised in a Mumbai hospital. However, several rumours and reports claimed that the actor is in a critical condition and is on a ventilator, even assuming the worst. While speaking to Hindustan Times, his wife Hema Malini has given a quick update regarding Dharmendra’s health.
She shared, “We’re hoping for his speedy recovery.” Dharmendra has been hospitalised at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai.
According to a report by Mid-Day, the veteran actor is currently under observation. It was earlier rumoured that Dharmendra is on ventilator but his team has dismissed them.
The actor was earlier in hospital for a routine check up. According to a report by India, a source close to the family was quoted as saying, “Someone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there’s nothing to be worried about.”
“He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests,” the source added.
Meanwhile, he will return to the big screen with the film ‘Ikkis’. He will share the screen space with his co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Ikkis is scheduled to release in December 2025, but the makers have yet to officially announce its final release date. The film is the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at just 21 — honoured posthumously for his unmatched courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
