In âStreet Fighterâ, Sydney will reportedly play the role of former American boxer Christy Martin. She recently penned an appreciation note for her on Instagram. She wrote, âI donât usually write a lot in my captions but this movie and experience I feel needs more than just a few words. We have wrapped filming Christy Martinâs story and it has been one of the most emotional, transformative experiences of my life. Christyâs journey is so deeply inspiring, and having her by my side during this process was nothing short of surreal. There were moments on set where Iâd glance over at her standing by the monitors, cheering us on, and Iâd just become so emotional. Knowing what sheâs endured, what sheâs pushed through to be there in that momentâit made me want to cry.â
She added, âTo the incredible crew in Charlotteâthank you for giving this project your everything. Iâm going to miss you so much!! Your hard work, long hours, and dedication brought this story to life, and we couldnât have done it without you. My castmates, especially Ben, thank you for your talent, your relentlessness, and for inspiring me to dig even deeper every single day. And David, our fearless aussie, thank you for being the steady, passionate leader we all leaned on.â

âThis story is so much bigger than just a film. Itâs a testament to resilience, survival, and finding the strength to keep fighting. I canât wait for you all to see itânot only because Iâm proud of the transformation and the work Iâve poured into it, but because Christyâs story deserves to be told. And yes, youâll get to see me kick some serious ass (like seriously kicked some ass) ((like I mightâve enjoyed it a little toooooo much while kicking ass haha)), but most importantly, youâll witness a story thatâs as powerful as the woman who lived it. Iâll carry this experience with me forever. Canât wait to share more :),â she concluded.
On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in âKuberaâ with Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna.
