Dhadak 2 box office collection
Dhadak 2 faced multiple challenges before release, including technical difficulties and CBFC clearance concerns, which postponed its debut several times from the original November 22, 2024 date to February 21, 2025, and eventually to August 1, 2025.
The film underperformed at the box office, earning around Rs 29 crore. Critics gave mixed reviews, praising its honest portrayal of caste issues but pointing out that it didn’t quite match the original.

The storyline of the sequel is based on Mari Selvaraj’s 2018 Tamil drama film Pariyerum Perumal, starring Kathir and Anandhi. It directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is produced by Karan Johar. The original Dhadak was a Hindi adaptation of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat and launched Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.
