Devara Box Office Collection: NTR Jr’s return was awaited ever since he created a stir with his global release RRR. And Devara was everything that the audience were expecting from his comeback movie. A high-octane action-drama, Devara was released on 7250 screens worldwide, including 3600 screens in India and the response was phenomenal. The first day collection of Rs 82.5 crores (India) and Rs 157 crore (gross) worldwide broke several records.
The film continued to perform well owing to the weekend, followed by Gandhi Jayanti, taking the global collection to Rs 334 crore approximately. As per the latest data shared by Sacnilk and Bollywood Movie Reviewz, the film has now secured a position in the list of Highest Grossing South India Films of all time.
Other films that rank higher include Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF2, Kalki 2898, Salaar, Leo among others. It is to be noted that Devara is still running in theatres and the rank may improve eventually. At the moment it stands at 18th position.
Also starring Saif Ali khan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film had an opening of Rs 82.5 crore, followed by Rs 38.2 crore on Saturday, Rs 39.9 crore on Sunday. The first week saw a dip with the film making only Rs 12.75 crore on Monday and Rs 14 crore on Tuesday. Gandhi Jayanti made things better as the collection rose to Rs 21 crore. On Thursday, the film made approximately Rs 7 crores. The overall collection in India is Rs 215.6 crore at the moment.
