Deva Box Office Collection Day 1: ‘Deva’, starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, has finally been released in theatres and has also been receiving a good response from the audience. The movie also marks the Hindi film debut of filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews. Meanwhile, the movie opened with decent numbers in theatres and is expected to earn even more over the first weekend.

According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Deva’ collected Rs 5 crore on its opening day.
In an exclusive chat with News24 at Manthan 2024, Shahid Kapoor talked about his family and how they impact his work. Shahid reveals that his wife Mira Rajput and brother Ishaan Khatter are his biggest critics as they give their honest opinions. He further adds that his father Pankaj Kapoor, who is a renowned actor, also reviews his work. The ‘Jersey’ star called his father the ‘best actor’ and praised his dedication towards his craft.
When Shahid was praised for his impeccable dance skills, he gave credit to his mother Neelima Azeem, who is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.
Ahead of the release of Deva, Shahid penned a sweet note for his fans on Instagram. He wrote, “One year of blood sweat and tears. 2024 was all DEVA !!! MERA DIL MERI JAAN. MERA KAAM MERI SHIDDAT. MERA ACTING KE LIYE PYAAR. MERI AUDIENCE KE LIYE MOHOBBAT. MERA SAALON KA EXPERIENCE MERA ANDAR KA CREATIVE BACHHA. SAB HAI IS DEVA MEIN….. Till today he was mine. From tomorrow he is yours.”
Deva also stars Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati in the lead role.
