‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’ was one of the most anticipated anime releases globally and in India. The film released in Japanese, English, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu, making it accessible to a wide range of Indian fans. It has proven to be a massive hit, dominating theatres across the country.
In just 31 days, it has grossed over Rs. 83.10 crore at the Indian box office, becoming the highest grossing anime film in India. Its performance is eight times higher than the previous record holder, Suzume, which earned Rs. 10 crore during its entire theatrical run.
The film’s huge success shows that Indian audiences are becoming more interested in Japanese anime and sets a new record for future releases. Other popular anime movies in India include Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Rs. 9.8 crore), Shin Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary (Rs. 9.5 crore), and Shin Chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers (Rs. 8.75 crore). Experts say that because of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, more anime films like One Piece, Chainsaw Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen might regularly release in Indian theatres.

Released in India on September 12, the film broke records on its first day, surpassing the lifetime earnings of all previous anime films and continuing to draw audiences, competing alongside Bollywood releases like Jolly LLB 3, They Call Him OG, Kantara: Chapter 1, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
About Demon Slayer Infinity Castle:
In the Hashira training arc, the anime introduced different Hashiras and their powers in different episodes. Tanjiro trained with Tengen Uzui- the Sound Hashira, Muichiro Tokito- the Mist Hashira, Obanai Iguro- the Serpent Hashira, Obanai Iguro- the Serpent Hashira and Obanai Iguro- the Serpent Hashira to gain new strength for his upcoming battles.
The viewers also get to know more about Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who is the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. Unfortunately, Kagaya and his wife get killed by Muzan, who also traps Tanjiro and everyone in the Infinity Castle. This sets up the plot for the upcoming movie ‘Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Arc’.
The movie has been released in India with no cuts and has received a certificate of U/A 13+. This means that it is suitable for people above the age of 13.
