Ajay Devgn has returned to the big screen with the movie ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, which is a sequel to his 2019 romantic comedy film. The movie focuses on a man in his 50s who falls in love with a young woman in her 20s. Its sequel has created excitement ever since its announcement, as R Madhavan joined the franchise. Starring Rakul Preet in the lead role alongside Devgn, the movie has already made an impact at the box office in its first two days.

The box office collection of De De Pyaar De 2 opened to Rs 8.75 crore on its first Friday. On the following Day 2 (Saturday), early estimates suggest it earned Rs 12.25 crore, bringing the two day total to around Rs 21 crore.

The plot follows 52 year old Ashish, who meets his much younger girlfriend Ayesha’s family to get their approval. Her father, Rajji, and Ashish, who is nearly the same age, clash in awkward and funny situations. When her parents try to accept their relationship, tensions rise because of the age gap. To break them up, they bring in a younger man, played by Meezaan Jafri, to win Ayesha over.
