Australian cricketer David Warner has recently stepped into the world of cinema with his acting debut in ‘Robinhood’. The film is directed by Venky Kudumula and features Nithiin and Sreeleela in lead roles, hit theatres this Friday.
David Warner played a key role in the film and reports suggest he was paid a hefty amount for this cameo.
David Warner’s Paycheck for Robinhood Revealed
Ravi Shankar, producer of Mythri Movie Makers surprised fans earlier this month by confirming that David is playing a role in the film. And now, according to an OTT Play report, the cricketer was paid a huge amount of Rs. 3 crore for his role in it. The report also reveals that he shot his scenes last year during the IPL 2024 season.
David actively promoted the film in Hyderabad. From attending pre-release events to engaging with fans and even making Instagram Reels with the lead actors he did it all and this added the excitement around the film’s release.
However, the promotions took an unexpected turn when veteran actor Rajendra Prasad made controversial remarks about David at a pre-release event. But soon after facing backlash, he apologised for his comments.

About Robinhood
Robinhood marks director Venky Kudumula’s third film after Chalo (2018) and Bheeshma (2020). It is reported that firstly, Rashmika Mandanna was going to play the female lead but she stepped out due to scheduling conflicts and the role eventually went to Sreeleela.
The film faced controversy before its release particularly over the dance Adhi Dha Surprisu, which received criticism for its choreography. The soundtrack was composed by GV Prakash Kumar and the film features a strong supporting cast, including Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage and Shine Tom Chacko.
Released in theatres on March 28, just ahead of the Ugadi festival, Robinhood has received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences.
