Ankita Bhargava has been a prominent name in the television industry for over two decades. She embraced parenthood in 2019 after welcoming a daughter with her husband and actor Karan Patel. In an exclusive chat with News24 on the occasion of Daughter’s Day 2024, the actress talked about how she wants her daughter to be strong but also be aware of how to act in different tough situations in today’s difficult times.

Elaborating on the same, Ankita told News24, “I want my daughter to be strong and resilient, and she needs to understand that standing up and speaking up is important but also moving out of a situation at the right time, knowing when to talk, when to stand up, and when to quietly move out for your own security. We have always thought that standing up, saying no and fighting it out with whoever is trying to oppress you is gonna help. But that’s the other way around as it just increases the intensity of what’s done to you.”

She added, “She has to be street smart and has to understand the situation, gauge it correctly quickly, and figure out what is important. Whether to shout, make a scene, or find the right time in a fraction of a second where you can save yourself.”

Talking about safety in the current scenario of the country, the actress further said, “These are very small things that will only develop with time. But awareness is very important and making sure that you keep yourself safe should be a priority. Because there are people everywhere in the world, not just in our country, having tricks up your sleeve in terms of being physically fit and knowing a couple of pro tips on your sleeve as to what to do in the situation. Obviously, she will learn and pick up over time but I think being smart is what is needed. You have to keep yourself safe and be aware of your surroundings wherever you are.”
