Ankur Bhatia on his character Tariq

When asked about his character in Crackdown 2, Ankur said, “So in Crackdown…I play the role of Tariq. This is season two of Crackdown. So I was introduced in season one. I was the antagonist, the main antagonist in season one. And I am from Pakistan in the show. I have a conflict with the Indian agent. So that’s where my character revolves around. And in season two you get to see a lot of shades of Tariq. A lot of conflicts.”

He further added, “Season one ended up with Tariq behind the hijacking of an Indian plane with passengers. And that’s a thread that he gives to Saqib Saleem’s character Riyaz Pathan. And that’s the starting point of season two. So Tariq has a lot to do in this season. A very interesting character with a lot of shades of grey.”

While speaking about his co-stars, Ankur shared his experience of shooting with them. He said, “My experience was very funny because in most of my scenes, literally, everybody was there. When I had scenes with Saqib, Shreya would be there, and Iqbal Khan would be there. So it was more of a team of four people. So we had fun because there was a lot of driving in the desert, there was a lot of action in the desert. There was a lot of gun-blazing action. So everybody was kind of enjoying it because everybody had a gun in their hand. There were a lot of kicks and fights and punches going around. When they used to make mistakes, we used to laugh. It was a very fun set. We were all set up in a very isolated location in Rajasthan in a desert. We were shooting nights also. So we used to have bonfires and all.”

Praising the director of the series, Ankur said, “Apoorva Lakhia is a fun, fun director. He keeps the atmosphere on set very light and jovial.”

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
