The Bombay High Court rejected the Central Bureau of Investigation’s request to stop the release of the Netflix documentary series titled ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’. This series explores the disappearance of Sheena Bora, the daughter of Indrani Mukerjea, and was set to debut on Netflix on February 23. The CBI had filed a petition in the high court, asking for the release to be halted until the trial in the case concludes.

Netflix informed the Bombay High Court last week that it had agreed not to release the series until February 29. Prior to this, the CBI had gone to a special court in Mumbai to request a halt on the documentary series. However, on February 20, the court dismissed the plea made by the investigative agency.
