Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have indeed tied the knot, but social media users are heavily trolling them. Some people are saying that they have promoted love jihad, while others have even started threatening the couple. People from Shatrughan Sinha’s hometown of Patna, Bihar, have heavily trolled the couple, even suggesting that they should bar Sonakshi from entering Bihar. Now, on this issue, Sonakshi Sinha’s father Shatrughan Sinha has tried to silence everyone with his response. The veteran actor has not only given a fitting reply to the trolls but also advised them to mind their own business. Meanwhile, the actress’s brother Luv Sinha has also broken his silence on not attending the wedding.
According to media reports, Shatrughan Sinha has responded to trolls while supporting his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s marriage. The actor said, ‘Anand Bakshi once said a line, ‘Some people will say something because it’s their job to say…’ I would like to add another line to it that if those who are idle without any work are saying, then saying becomes their job. My daughter has not done anything wrong, illegal, or unconstitutional to deserve such heavy trolling.’
Shatrughan Sinha further stated, ‘I want to say that marriage is a private decision of two individuals. No one should have the right to interfere in it. I just want to tell the demonstrators to live their own lives and include necessary things in it. Let us live our lives too, and I have nothing more to say.’
After the couple’s wedding a protest march was organized in Patna. Posters were put up by the Hindu Shiv Bhavani Sena in Patna, stating, ‘Shatrughan Sinha should change the name of his house to Ramayan. His sons should change their names to Love and Kush.” Meanwhile, both of Sonakshi Sinha’s brothers, Luv and Kush, did not attend their sister’s wedding, which sparked considerable discussion. Now, in an interview, actor Luv has said, “Give me a day or two. I will answer all your questions.’
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in a civil marriage ceremony in Mumbai on June 23. Following their wedding, the couple hosted a grand reception party attended by several Bollywood celebrities.
