In a statement shared with the media, officials confirmed the case had been transferred to the Lalkurti police station for further investigation. According to the police, ₹5 lakh was reportedly extorted from Sunil Pal’s family as part of the ransom.

Sunil Pal Declines Police Protection
Speaking to media outlets, Sunil Pal disclosed details of his traumatic experience, including being blindfolded and verbally abused during his captivity. Despite his ordeal, he has refused police protection, stating that it would distress his children. “The police are vigilant and have been in constant touch, but I turned down protection for my family’s peace of mind,” Sunil shared.
