The British rock band Coldplay made history when it performed in Ahmedabad on Sunday. With more than 1 lakh spectators in Narendra Modi Stadium, the band rocked the arena. Coldplay called the event their biggest ever concert and thanked the spectators of Ahmedabad. The iconic band kicked off their Music of the Spheres World Tour in India, starting with Mumbai on January 18.
Coldplay’s concert was memorable for yet another moment that sent goosebumps across the stadium. Close to 1.5 lakh people sang the National Anthem, ‘Jana-Gana-Mana,’ at the Coldplay concert, making it an amazing moment. As the stadium echoed with ‘Jana-Gana-Mana,’ spectators stood with the national flag and harmonized with singer Jasleen Royal, who was on stage along with the band.

Chris Martin Sings ‘Vande Mataram’
Not only this, Coldplay’s lead vocalist, Chris Martin also greeted the crowd with ‘Happy Republic Day, India!’ as he kicked off his final performance in India. He took over the stage as he sang ‘Vande Mataram,’ one of the patriotic anthems of India. Fans cheered and applauded his gesture.

Gujarat Home Minister Calls It ‘Memorable’
Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi also took to X to express happiness on the successful conduct of the concert. He wrote on X, “Congratulations Ahmedabad, We Did It! Kudos to Team @AhmedabadPolice , Narendra Modi Stadium Management, Team @coldplay and @bookmyshow for making it a memorable event!”
The Minister said that 1.70 lakh+ visitors traveled from outside Gujarat.
