Traffic curbs have been announced in Navi Mumbai as the city gears up for Coldplay’s mega concerts scheduled at DY Patil Stadium, Nerul, on January 18, 19, and 21. Navi Mumbai traffic authorities have implemented measures to ensure public safety and smooth vehicular flow during the event.
Order Issued By DCP Traffic
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Tirupati Kakade, issued the order under Sections 115, 116(1)(a)(b), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Heavy vehicles, including goods carriers, are barred from entering, traveling, or parking on roads within the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate’s jurisdiction during specific hours.

Timings & Exemptions
The restrictions will be in place from 2 pm to 12 am on the concert dates. Vehicles carrying essential goods, fire brigades, ambulances, and government vehicles are exempt from the curbs.
Advisory For Commuters
DCP Kakade, as quoted by Free Press Journal, urged commuters to plan their routes accordingly and avoid roads near the stadium during restricted hours. Adequate arrangements will ensure the movement of emergency and essential services is unaffected.
This marks Coldplay’s first performance in India since 2016, adding to the anticipation. Fans can expect a grand spectacle featuring hits from their Music of the Spheres album, upcoming singles from Moon Music, and classic favourites. Known for their breathtaking lights and fireworks, the band promises an unforgettable experience.
