Cirkus box office collection Day 1: Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline and Pooja Hegde starrer Cirkus released on December 23. It appears that 2022 hasn’t been a particularly successful year for Ranveer Singh in movies. The actor, who first experienced failure with YRF’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, appeared in Cirkus with a dual part. The audience had high expectations, but the unanimously negative reviews indicate that the movie is in trouble.
Cirkus box office collection
Cirkus had poor occupancy in theatres the entire day, with first-day estimates for revenue in the range of Rs. 6.25 to 7.00 crore. The film debuted with almost 10,000 performances on its first day and only maintained a low occupancy rate of 12 percent throughout the day, which is significantly below the consensus predictions.
The three national chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, have taken in about Rs 3.20 crore, or almost 50% of the overall business. Inox & Cinepolis, the other two chains, have brought in about Rs 1.70 crore, compared to PVR’s nett total of Rs 1.50 crore. The largest shock came from the Gujarat region, where the box office results were shocking given that Rohit Shetty movies often performed well there and that Gujarat is also known to be a stronghold for comedy movies.
