Indian famous actor, Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming movie, ‘Chhaava,’ is generating a lot of excitement, with tickets selling quickly just two days after they became available. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 14, 2025. However, after a dance scene involving the Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj received negative feedback, the filmmakers decided to remove that scene from the movie.
The filmmakers had initially planned to showcase the Lezim folk dance in their upcoming project. However, it seems that some additional adjustments are needed before the movie can be released. Just days before its debut, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has provided a list of changes that they recommend making.

CBFC Asked Makers Of Chhaava To Delete A Few Scenes
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked filmmakers to remove a scene featuring Maratha warriors in sarees. Additionally, they have directed the creators to include a notice indicating the original novel that inspired the film. This notice should clarify that the movie is not intended to disrespect any historical figures or distort facts.
Dialogues Changed
Reports also state that words like ‘h****zaadon’ and ‘h****zada’ were muted. Some more were replaced, including ‘Aameen’ with ‘Jai Bhavani’, ’16 saal (years)’ with ’14 saal’, ’22 saal ka ladka (years old boy)’ with ’24 saal ka ladka,’ and ‘9 saal’ with ‘kayi saal.’
Many other statements in the film like ‘Mughal sultanat ka zehar (poison of Mughal Empire)’ and ‘Khoon toh aakhir Mughalon ka hi hai (The blood is after all of the Mughals only)’ were also altered. The first one was replaced with ‘Uss samay, kayi shaasak aur sultanat khud ko zinda rakhne ki koshish kar rahe the (Many rulers and empires tried to keep themselves alive at that time, ).’ Meanwhile, on the other hand, the term ‘Mughal’ was also replaced by ‘Aurang.’
