Chhaava Advance Booking Report: Vicky Kaushal and filmmaker Laxman Utekar have teamed for the second time for ‘Chhaava’, which is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The advance bookings of Chhaava have also opened and have been receiving an amazing response from the audience. The movie is eyeing on the good opening at the box office.

According to the website Sacnilk, Chhaava has already collected Rs 7.59 crore till February 12 in its advance bookings. The movie has earned over Rs 7.2 crore in 2D format and has sold more than two lakh tickets.
As per Hindustan Times, the movie has surpassed the opening of Deva and Emergency and is eyeing on Sky Force.
Recently, Rashmika and Vicky shared some fun pictures from the promotions of Chhaava. They wrote, “Laxman sir is so busy with all the editing and all of the serious film work and so Vicky and I thought we’ll kidnap him and do off a mini photoshoot.. and after that we ended up doing our lil shoot to tell you guys that- ‘Chhaava is coming out in 3 days and we are so so excitedddd!”
While speaking to Mid-Day, Director Laxman Utekar talked about his decision to make this movie. He said, “When I started reading about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, I realised that he was a great warrior, but no one has made a film on him.”
“Most books on Sambhaji are in Marathi, and not available in any other language. That could be a reason why a film or series on him has been rarely attempted. Not many filmmakers could read extensively about him,” he added.
The movie also stars Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty, and Santosh Juvekar in pivotal roles. It is produced By Dinesh Vijan under the banner Maddock Films and co-produced by Sharada Karki Jalota and Pooja Prem Patheja. Meanwhile, the screenplay is done by Laxman Utekar, Rishi Virmani, Kaustubh Savarkar, Unman Bankar and Omkar Mahajan.
